Invitation
Dear Badminton friends,
As some of you already know the Easter weekend is our favourite time of year to bring all the great international youth players together in our sport hall in Belgium.
We thought it might be a good idea to inform you a little bit about next year’s VICTOR JUNIOR OLVE tournament.
Next year, in 2012, we will be glad to welcome you as from Friday, April 6. Our tournament will take place from Saturday, April 7 ‘till Monday, April 9. Like we do every edition, we can arrange transport, sleeping accommodation (hotel or youth hostel) and meals for your team. For more information, please check the document attached to this e-mail.
Attached to this e-mail you will find some general information, an intention of participation, an entry form and some regulations regarding the entries. Please note that we will reply on every e-mail that you have sent as a confirmation of receiving your e-mail. If you don't receive a reply, we probably didn’t receive it so please send it to us again.
We would also like to inform you about some revised aspects of the tournament.
!! May we urge everyone to read this, as these changes contain important information regarding e.g. entries !!
ENTRIES
For the past editions of Victor JOT we received a huge number of subscriptions and built up a large waiting list.
Considering the quality of the tournament benefits from the participation of a large number of different teams, we would like to give the opportunity to as many teams as possible to participate in the tournament. At the same time, we would like to give all interested teams prompt clarity regarding their participation.
Therefore we took some measures aiming at structuring the entry process:
- Entries will be accepted in the following order:
UNTILL the 31st of December 2011: official national teams and the top 10 in the Challenge Cup of the last edition of the VICTORJOT (please consult the www.juniorolvetournament.be to see the results of the Challenge Cup 2011).
In this period, other teams can also send in their subscriptions. They will however be put on the waiting list.
STARTING FROM the 1st of January 2012: all teams and the teams that were put on the waiting list.
-
Limitation per team
Similarly to the 2011 edition, the number of participants per age group will be limited per team. Each team will be allowed to subscribe 4 boys and 4 girls in each age category. This restriction guarantees your players to compete in a truly international and diverse competition. It will also bring the competition level of our tournament to a higher level whilst maintaining our famous flexible service and friendly atmosphere.
-
No U19 Category
Last but not least, as from the 2012 edition on, there will no longer be an U19 category. The tournament will focus on players from age categories U11 ‘till U17. Please consult the document ‘General information’ in attachment, to see the years of birth.
- Entries will be accepted in the following order:
FLIGHTS
May we remind everyone that teams can not book any flights departing before 7.30 PM on Monday, 9th of April. The deadline for sending us your flight arrangements is set on the 15th of March.
Entries with flights arrangements that do not comply with the rule stated above, will be rejected.
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATION
The VICTORJOT 2012 can provide sleeping arrangements if wanted. Please contact us for youth hostel reservations or hotels in the surroundings of the tournament. Low budget-accommodation is no longer available.
For more information, please read the information attached. All changes are marked in red. If you have any questions regarding the changes, just send us an e-mail.
If you have suggestions for our 2011 VICTORJOT edition or just one or more questions regarding JOT, please do not hesitate to contact us at victorjot@olvebadminton.be
Hope to see you next year at our tournament!
Best regards,
For the JOT-team
